A creative yard crew put together this lash-up that was headed west of Vaughn, NM, on its way toward Belen. The make-up of Frisco, BN, Frisco and BN units makes it hard to believe it wasn't a planned move. This was shot with a Vivitar 220SL with a 135mm lens and slide film. Years later, it was printed as a picture and scanned to secure the image ... thus the poor quality. |

The company leased trackage rights over the Southern Pacific. I remember the food as being very, very good ... but for a newspaper sportswriter, the ticket price ($47) dented my wallet. |
